CARC (Chilliwack Amateur Radio Club) is very active in the local community providing support to the City of Chilliwack and surrounding area’s during an emergency or public event. Our Club is located at 5725 Tyson Road across from the skating rink in the trailer with all the large antenna’s.

We have two repeater sites.

The VE7RCK site is at 1690 ft ASL on private property next to a commercial Cell tower belonging to Rogers.   At this site is 147.100 VE7RCK  and D-star repeater 444.625+ , along with a Yaesu System Fusion digital repeater, running a WIRES-X node.  This site has internet by a 5ghz microwave system. The dish is a 31dbi  5ghz data link to our Club Office/EOC on Tyson road. It is approximately a 5 kilometer distance.

Our second Repeater site, VA7CRC 146.960- and 443.000+,  is located at 800 ft ASL on the north side of Chilliwack Mountain.   It is an Icom repeater  with an Arcom controller using a Comet GP-9 dual band antenna fed through a diplexer.  The UHF side hosts a Yaesu System Fusion DR-2X digital repeater. Has AC power and 200Ah battery backup.
